What Actually Is the Good Life We Want to Create With AI? A Conversation Between a Tech Philosopher and an End-of-Life Expert

Everywhere we look, we hear promises of “AI for Good” — and with it, visions of abundance and bliss. But what do those promises really mean? And what does the good life actually look like in an age shaped by Artificial Intelligence? In this conversation, tech philosopher Dr. Pia Lauritzen and Professor of Palliative Medicine Eva Katharina Masel come together to reflect on what gives life meaning, what fosters wellbeing, and how AI might help us get there. Hosted by TEDAI Curator Dr. Alina Nikolaou, this panel invites us to pause and reflect a future worth striving for.

Eva Katharina Masel is Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine at the General Hospital of the Medical University of Vienna, Professor of Palliative Medicine, and Deputy Medical Director. She is a specialist in internal medicine and holds a Master's degree in Palliative Medicine and a PhD in Mental Health and Behavioural Science. Her research focuses on palliative care for patients and families facing serious illness.
