Anja Obermayer aka Anja Om explores reflected egocentrism and seemingly mundane yet deeply intense emotions in her music. Inspired by artists such as Björk and Laura Mvula as well as choral composer Eric Whitacre she brings together contemporary polyphony improvisation narrative pop songs and piano-based art song. Questioning her own perspective she uses her lyrics to search for the immediate egocentric truth of the present moment.
