Check-in at the Hofburg Imperial Palace with ease and take a moment to get familiar with your route to the venue. The TEDAI team will be ready to assist with any last-minute questions, app support, and program details. You’ll also receive your gift bag, name badge, and wristband for a smooth and stress-free registration, ensuring you’re relaxed and fully prepared for the Opening Gala later.

Alongside check-in, you can host your own Community Meet-Up or drop into one that’s already happening. Use the dedicated meeting spots, listed in the conference app, to find your group and connect with people who share your interests. From there, you’ll step outside the venue together for a coffee, a walk, or to explore the city — relaxed and self-facilitated, it’s the perfect way to spark your first TED connections.

We’ll kick off the conference with a breathtaking Opening Gala held at the conference venue. Vienna is the world’s capital of ball tradition—a city where elegance, music, and celebration have danced together for centuries.

The dress code for the TEDAI Opening Gala is Creative Black Tie, which invites elegance while celebrating your personal style. For attendees of all genders, we recommend: classic tuxedos or elegant suits; mid- or full-length dresses, gowns, or pantsuits. Feel free to add your own twist, for example with a bold (bow) tie or statement jewellery—we’d love to see you shine in what makes you feel fabulous!

To help maintain the special atmosphere of the evening, we kindly suggest avoiding casual clothing such as jeans, open-toe sandals, and other informal attire. Please note: Throughout the night, enjoy delicious finger food, drinks, and snacks—but we recommend having a complete dinner before the Gala.

Sign up for one of our AI-Themed Dinners at the Rathauskeller restaurant, nested in the Vienna City Hall. With Hofburg as our starting point, our team will guide you to and from the venue – but feel free to check out the place on your own as well (see Rathauskeller). From AI & Creativity to AI & Climate and beyond, these Dinners are designed for candid, thought-provoking conversations over delicious Austrian dishes and drinks. Themes will be announced closer to the conference.
